Throughout the years of being an artist and loving to paint as much as I can, I have picked up a thing or two I am always looking for things that help You and I save ($$$) money.
Today I want to talk about the painter's palette there are so many to choose from on the market you could go nuts trying to find one that you like best. I have several from plastic to wood to using an old canvas etc... the list goes on, but if you are looking for a good all purpose palette that will serve you well and is disposable try using
Reynolds Freezer Paper I use this stuff all the time especially for my students when I am teaching a class, normally I supply everything for new students so this makes for easy cleanup at the end of the day.
How to use: The Freezer paper comes in 18 inch width so I tear off about 24 inches so that makes my palette 18x24 that gives me lots of mixing space. Next I use
masking tape to tape the corners down so it won't move when I am mixing or loading a brush, one of the best parts about the paper is if you have paint left put it in an airtight container and freeze it to use it again or simply toss it in the trash if you are finished with it.
Note: I forgot to mention the freezer paper has a shiny side and a dull side the shiny side should be facing up, the paint does not bleed through it is very strong and durable.
You can pick this Freezer paper up at about anywhere grocery stores or
Walmart has 150 ft rolls most stores only have 75 ft
